Dulce Systems’ PRO Duo-FireWire and Duo-FireWire are compatible with Apple’s desktop/notebook computers and Windows compatible machines. Equipped with two hard drives and the fastest FireWire 800 interface, it can easily keep up with the most demanding video projects. Whether your video project is DV25, HDV, DVCPRO HD, uncompressed SD or Apple’s ProRes 422, the portable PRO Duo-FireWire and Duo-FireWire are perfect for people on the go. Or maybe you just need more external storage for your projects; the PRO Duo-FireWire and Duo-FireWire, with its small foot print, is a perfect fit.

The PRO Duo-FireWire and Duo-FireWire are also equipped with a standard USB 2.0 interface for ultimate compatibility (the USB port is compatible with USB 1.0/1.1). The FireWire 800 port is also compatible with FireWire 400. A cable is supplied to mate the FireWire 800 to a 6 pin FireWire 400 connector.

		Maximum Feature Set The Duo-FireWire is fully loaded with all the RAID features housed in a small desktop portable unit; RAID 0 striping for speed; RAID 1 mirroring for redundancy; Span for simplistic ‘seen as’ one drive mode and JBOD for providing a two drive presence flexibility. RAID 0 striping mode is perfect for the high demand of multiple streams video applications, or if protection of an unlikely drive failure is of greater importance, then use RAID 1 mirroring. Simply dial-in the desire operating mode, reformat the drive and the Duo-FireWire is ready for your next creation project.

	FireWire and USB The PRO Duo-FireWire and Duo-FireWire are supplied with the necessary cables to connect to your Apple or Windows computer. For maximum performance, a FireWire 800 port is required, but the Duo-FireWire will operate with FireWire 400 using the supplied FireWire 800 to FireWire 400 cable. The Duo-FireWire is also equipped with a USB 2.0 port which is backward compatible with USB 1.0/1.1 and a USB cable comes with the package.
