Cost Effective Expansion
When additional storage is required the PRO FCa can be increased in capacity with the built-in expander; simply add the cost effective PRO Xa to expand the PRO FCa RAID head unit. Each PRO Xa has a 16 drive capacity and can further daisy chain to additional PRO Xa's; a total of 3 PRO Xa's can be daisy chained from the PRO FCa RAID head, a total of 64 drives of very high speed online access.
The Java based RAID Manager provides full control over the RAID configuration; the existing RAID set can be expanded or additional RAID sets can be made to deploy the added disk space from the PRO FX.
No Performance Loss
The PRO Xa will not add any overhead to to your exsisting PRO FC, FCa or iSCSIa RAID system. You will continue to see performance at the same high standard your used to. Impressive performance ensures that your project will continue to make forward progress even as the disk array expansion system is filling up. No matter which RAID protection mode you choose to use, the PRO Xa in conbination with your PRO FC, FCa or iSCSIa will not miss a beat.

One PRO Xa with sixteen 1TB drives in RAID 5. Mac Pro 2xQuad 3GHz, ATTO FC42ES, OS 10.6.4 FCP 6. Streams counts could vary with smaller disk drives. RAID 0 performance yields similar results. Usage of 1 or 2 Xa expansion cards does not improve stream count.
